"I have owned the BD60 for 2 months, and thus far it has been as good as advertised!. I had been considering a BD player for about a year. I knew that the prices would go down, and lo and behold, checked out Amazon, and they had! I got about 67.00 off list, and free shipping, too!

Picture quality is excellent, although I think HD DVD looks a little better. Video scaling is better than average,too.

I am not that familiar with the VieraCast feature, but I will get around to it. The sound quality is top of the line. DTS and DD material on the movies we've played has been great!. I was actually pretty pleased with the response/load times, too. The fact is, you can't beat the Panasonic BD60 for the money, which is the reason I wrote this BD60 review!"

I purchased the DMP BD60 to go with a Samsung 54" Plasma TV. The VIERA Link and VIERA Cast features are great and make things real simple as far as the ability to look at You Tube videos or rent movies from Amazon.

All can be done without needing to hook-up to a computer. Set-up was a breeze, and the software is a "no-brainer!" I do kind of miss a S-Video output, though. This is a fantastic value in a Blu Ray player.

"We purchased the BD60 around May 2009. It has always been our intention to buy a blu-ray player to go with our 50 inch Samsung plasma, we decided on the Panasonic BD60 because we read great reviews and Amazon had a super low price!

It has really lived up to our expectations. The blu-ray dvds look awesome! The standard definition dvds look amazingly good, as well. We subscribe to Netflix rentals, and everything has worked perfectly!

We live way out in the county and don't have a fast, reliable internet connection. We do have access to a mobile broadband, and it is much faster than dialup, but considerably slower than DSL or other types.

Because of that, we have neglected to update the firmware, and the BD60 works just fine. All new, rented, or older recorded dvds have worked just fine! My husband and I actually wrote this BD60 review

"I can't believe the Picture quality! It is excellent with either Blu-Rays or regular DVD's. The upscaling for regular DVD's is about as good as it gets. I have the BD60 paired with a Panasonic 50" HD TV, and HOLY COW, do they go well together! The VieraLink makes life so easy for me.

The sound quality is exceptional, as well. I have it going to both the LCD speakers and my Home Theater. They sound almost too good to be true!"
